who am I

An interpreter between languages and art: I explore, analyze and translate experiences into new languages. Trained as a sinologist and art lover, I am constantly looking for connections between cultures and disciplines. Art is the language I find most fascinating.

My journey began at 19, when I took the first of many leaps into the void: moving to Venice to study the Chinese language and culture. Immersing myself in such a distant and unknown universe was a challenge, and at the same time a deeply enriching experience.

Since then, I have continued to push myself beyond the known boundaries: I have lived in China and Spain, embracing diversity and learning to dialogue with what is different, learning languages, customs and traditions, to see the world with new eyes and reinterpret it in my native language and culture.

Specializing in contemporary Chinese art was a natural step, from there came my curatorial path, which seeks to make art accessible, inclusive and able to create sincere dialogues between people.

what do I do

I work with artists, galleries, foundations and fairs studying, planning and implementing art projects.

Curator

I curate art exhibitions and events in detail to enhance the artist, the work or the concept.

Project & exhibition management

I design and manage art projects at every stage, turning creative ideas into exhibition realities. They are the bridge between the artist and the public, the filter that makes every visit rich and complete.

Interviews

To bring out all facets, the polyhedricity of a person is not a simple thing. From January 2023 public interviews in the column People on Artslife.com, with which I investigate the complexity of contemporary international artists beyond the superificie with questions not obvious.

Advisory

For more than 10 years I have been an art-lover in Venice, before organizing. Alongside productions and artists to navigate between galleries, exhibition spaces and productions.

how do I do

"A little bit of belly, a little bit of head."

When I immerse myself in a project, I like to get fully involved. Whether it is a work of art, an artist or the concept behind an exhibition, I always start by letting myself be carried away by the emotions and sensations that arise spontaneously inside me. I open a blank sheet of paper and fill it with everything that experience brings to me, without filters, letting the ideas flow freely.

Then comes the time to reflect. I assimilate what has enriched me, rework it and weave it with a thorough research. With an academic approach, I go back on my first impressions, expanding and refining them. It is from this combination of intuition and analysis that the final project, whether an exhibition, a text or a cultural initiative, is born.

Working with people is essential for me, the heart of my creative process. Listening to opinions, accepting criticism and changing perspective, always ready to grow and improve.

I love brainstorming, mind maps and mood boards: tools that turn abstract ideas into concrete visions. I visualize each project in detail, planning every phase, from the theoretical ideas to their practical realization, from the timing to the materials.

I firmly believe that diversity is a value. I work with an open and inclusive thinking, integrating different perspectives to enrich each project. At the same time, I have a pragmatic attitude: after dreaming, it is necessary to turn the dream into reality.

I speak and work fluently in Italian, Spanish and English, making each project accessible to a wide and diverse audience.

This is me: round, square and everything in between.

I am soft and welcoming, round. I like to think of myself as a meeting place, where people, moments and experiences intertwine and stratify over time, creating unrepeatable stories.

I love research and details. I prefer the imperfect uniqueness of things made with care to the homogeneity of mass productions. I like to break the patterns and challenge the rules, even if sometimes I feel the need to define my boundaries, finding a safe space to act.

I am fascinated by bold combinations, but also cultivate a deep respect for the intrinsic nature of things. And sometimes I can be sharp: my edges are nothing but a protective instinct for what I love and consider important.

In the end, I’m a little round and a little square, made of joints, contrasts and some corners.
